Diamonds Rock L.A. Fashion Show
April 07, 04Diamonds dazzled the runway at the Fall 2004 L.A. Fashion Week last week with diamonds worn in interesting and unexpected ways proving the most popular accessory.
Chocolate, champagne and cognac colored natural diamonds rocked the runway, while snake-shaped diamond armbands and sensual pendants spiced up the show even more.
The Louis Verdad Fall 2004 Collection, with diamonds by celebrity favorite Neil Lane, used diamonds as a unique accent to Verdad’s glamorous designs.
These included brooches, diamond pins worn as stylish cufflinks, a diamond chain draped across the body and diamond right hand rings over dramatic black gloves.
Designer Verdad’s inventive use of diamonds is expected to be the inspiration for many jewelry trends this fall.
Meanwhile, designer Daniella Clarke paired trendy low-slung denim and colorful tops with vibrant diamond chokers and big drop earrings from top luxury jeweler Kwiat, proving that diamonds can be worn with everything from sportswear to couture.
For an even wilder display of diamonds, Richie Rich and Traver Rains chose bling from L.A. jeweler Rafinity for their circus-themed, celebrity crazed Heatherette show.
