Beckham Jr. Gets Early Taste of Bling

Like father, like son, Brooklyn Beckham - the eldest son of soccer superstar David Beckham – will be getting an early appreciation of the beauty of diamonds with a pair of diamond earrings for his sixth birthday.

Among the birthday gifts the young Beckham will receive is a £25,000 ($48,000) pair of diamond earrings, matching his dad’s.

The son of the metrosexual icon will not get just any old diamond earrings, but a pair made especially for him by luxury jewelry designer Jacob the Jeweler, a scaled down version of David's £75,000 ($144,000) pair.

According to British newspaper the Daily Mail, other presents Brooklyn has received over the years include a Jacob's of New York watch, a replica of daddy's and worth £6,000 ($11,500), a baby Porsche just like daddy's worth £5,000 ($9,600), and a mini Hummer, you guessed right -  a replica of his dad's full-size vehicle, worth £22,000 ($42,300).

And if you were wondering how the famous parents could afford such gifts, fear not. Media reports estimate the couple's joint worth at around $100 million.
