Diamond Divas at the SAG Awards

Where there's an awards event, there are celebrities, and where there are celebrities, there are diamonds. The 12th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) gave
Hollywood's finest another chance to strut their stuff and sparkle down the red carpet.

While the SAG awards may not have the same name recognition as the Golden Globes or the Oscars, the big names in jewelry, including Cartier, Fred Leighton, Harry Winston, Neil Lane, Martin Katz and Chopard, were well represented.

Diamonds, especially diamond earrings, were the accessory of choice for many SAG attendees. Anne Hathaway, continuing the trend for vintage, opted for 19th century diamond drop earrings by Fred Leighton, which she coupled with Edwardian diamond hair combs. Reese Witherspoon, another vintage fan, also wore 19th century Fred Leighton earrings, which she accented with vintage brooches.

Geena Davis wore linear diamond drop earrings by Harry Winston. Megan Mullaly's six carat, $450,000 oval drop earrings came from Martin Katz, as did Tori Spellings' $25,000 eight carat micro pave earrings.

Sandra Oh wore Neil Lane diamond stud earrings, as well as star shaped diamond brooches, worth $1 million, sewn around her waist. Kyra Sedgwick opted for six carat pendant earrings and a 71 carat rose cut diamond cuff bracelet by Fred Leighton. Mary-Louise Parker also wore a distinctive bracelet. Her 14.92 carat mesh bracelet with enhanced full cut diamonds, which she complimented with 13.61 carat pendant earclips, was by VBH.
