IGI Certificate Can Alleviate Consumer's Diamond Concerns
May 28, 06With industry wide fears about the effect on consumers of the film “The Blood Diamond,” directed by Edward Zwick and starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Connolly, the International Gemological Institute (IGI) has announced that its certificates can dispel consumer fears regarding the origin of their diamonds.
IGI’s Certificate of Authenticity not only authenticates the diamond but also states it is in full compliance with the Kimberley Process, the
IGI said that, "an IGI Certificate of Authenticity assures consumers their diamonds were responsibly mined and ethically sourced and traded from the origin of the diamonds to the retail marketplace making them 'conflict free.'"
