Venus Jewel Expands Clarity Grading System with New VS2- Grade

Diamond manufacturer and
VS2- is a clarity grade added between the grades VS2 and SI1+ and indicates the clarity being “slightly lower than a standard VS2 clarity grade.” The move, says Venus Jewel, is another step in increasing transparency – in grading and in pricing polished diamonds.
Venus Jewel partner Rajesh R. Shah commented that because price differences between a VS2 and SI1+ clarity diamond typically range between 8 and 15 percent, most customers were hesitant to buy confidently due to the considerable price difference.
”With the introduction of the VS2- clarity grade, we foresee the future transparency and clarity thereof being able to dispel customers’ apprehensions in making such purchases, which we are positive will further simply [sic] their doing business with us,” Shah said.
