Diamond Price Calculator Application for iPhone Unveiled

The iDiamonds application utilizes IDEX Online's Diamond Retail Benchmark (DRB) price list

An application for the iPhone that allows users to access IDEX Online’s Diamond Retail Benchmark (DRB) price list while on the go is now available.

The application, iDiamonds: A Complete Diamond Education Suite, contains four features that together provide the necessary tools for purchasing a diamond. An advanced diamond price calculator calculates the price per carat and total price of a diamond and compares it to the DRB, enabling users to see whether they are saving any money when purchasing a diamond.

An education section provides the GIA’s overview of the four C’s, background information on the DRB and other basic information regarding the application and diamond buying in general. RSS news feeds featuring updated news and analysis on the diamond industry, courtesy of IDEX Online.

Finally, the application also boasts an exchange rate calculator, for users to convert the DRB from U.S. dollars to a foreign currency, should they be shopping outside of the U.S.
