Leviev, Schachter Keep Leading Israel’s Exporters List

(IDEX Online News) - L.L.D. Diamonds was Israel’s top diamond exporter in 2010, exporting $366 million worth of goods. This is a 51.9 percent increase from the $241 million the company exported in 2009. Leo Schachter Diamonds Ltd was a close second with exports of $359 million, compared to $215 million n 2009.
The recovery in the exports of the two companies is still below their export levels in previous years. In 2007, Lev Leviev’s L.L.D. exported $522 million worth of goods and Schachter $446 million.
The list of top 25 exporters, published by the Diamond Controller’s office, does not include large exporting companies that opted out. Two such companies are A.Dalumi Diamonds Ltd and Yeruahalmi Bros. Diamonds Ltd, which appeared among the top five on the list in past years.
