RJC Releases Draft Chain-of-Custody Report

(IDEX Online News) - The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) has released a report on its four-month consultation process on a draft standard for Chain-of-Custody Certification. The report

RJC sought feedback on a second discussion paper on Chain‐of‐Custody (CoC) since September 2010. The discussion paper included the first draft of a CoC standard for diamonds, gold and platinum metals, RJC states about the background of the report.

The proposed RJC CoC standard is to be complementary to RJC Member Certification and voluntary for RJC Members. 

The RJC aims to publish a final CoC standard, and associated documentation in early 2012.
