Royal Asscher Unveils Limited Edition Orange Diamonds Stars of Africa Ring

April 28, 11 by IDEX Online Staff Reporter

(IDEX Online News)
- The Royal Asscher Diamond Company is celebrating themselves and their Dutch origin by offering a limited edition Stars of Africa ring with floating orange diamonds. The company recently received the ‘Royal’ title for the next 25 years. The choice of orange diamonds is a tribute to the Royal House of Orange-Nassau.

The Asscher diamond company was founded in 1854 and is known, among other for the Royal Asscher Cut.

The limited edition rings are part of the Stars of Africa collection design by Canadian jewelry designer Reena Ahluwalia that showcases floating diamonds.

Only 55 rings are being created for this limited collection. The celebratory orange and white diamonds are set in 18k white gold, and consumers can choose from a medium or large version. Both sizes have 0.55 carats of white diamonds on the shank of the ring. Floating in the medium size ring is .60 carats of orange diamonds, and the large version has 1.55 carats of orange diamonds.

The Diamonds are encased in a fluid-filled dome, and they dance, float and fall freely - like snowflakes in a snow globe. The collection benefits Royal Asscher’s Africa-focused fundraising initiative, Stars of Africa.
