Antwerp Polished Trade Bullish in July

(IDEX Online News) – Belgium's net polished diamond exports increased in July by 20 percent year-over-year to $380.9 million, based on figures released by the AWDC. The volume of exports increased a small 1.9 percent to 230,405 carats.
The average value of July's net exports is $1,653.18 p/c, a 17.8 percent increase.
In July, Antwerp's gross exports of 911,115 carats worth $1.56 billion increased by 10.1 percent in value compared to June and by 39.3 percent year-over-year.
Gross imports of 680,710 carats worth $1.18 billion were flat in value and a 20.3 percent drop in volume. Most of the import and export trade was with the U.S.
