Kiran Gems Moves Major Ops to the BDB

The company formally inaugurated its 12,000 sq. ft. office at the BDB last week. A company release states that the new office will house 100 personnel from sales and marketing, finance, IT, human resources and administration.
The Kiran Gems move, however, is more in the nature of an expansion, rather than just a pure move. “Our new (BDB) office is part of our planned expansion and we expect it to expedite our business processes as a whole,” said Dinesh Lakhani, a company director.
The pace of the diamond industry’s migration to Mumbai’s suburban Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) has picked up, with several companies now having announced definitive dates for their move.
