Laser Bruting Improves Quality of Smallest Stones, Says Kiran Gems

(IDEX Online News) - DTC Sightholder Kiran Gems Pvt. Ltd. has expanded its laser bruting applications to include the -2 sieve (-0.01 carat) sizes as well. The firm says there is a significant improvement in small stone shapes due to this along with a step up in process efficiency.
The firm annually processes 5.1 million carats of rough in its 120 processing units to produce 1.37 million carats of polished. It produces a variety of fancy shapes in addition to its output of round brilliants.
