JIC Launches Third Annual Ultimate Proposal Contest

The marketing effort on the part of JIC, the consumer education arm of Jewelers of America, aims to generate consumer enthusiasm for fine jewelry.
The competition is open to JA Retail Members, who can use the competitions marketing platform to connect with their bridal and engagement customers.
Participating retailers are provided with a counter card, bag stuffers, email templates, website banners, social media content and contest logos for their website and social media usage. They will also receive consumer and media exposure, through a listing on JIC's site.

The entry period runs from February 21 until April 10. From April 10 until May 8, the public will be able to vote for their favorite engagement proposal story. The 20 entries that receive the most votes will move onto the final judging round. The winner will be announced on May 22.
The winning prize package includes a four-night vacation at a Sandals resort courtesy of The Knot and a platinum and diamond necklace courtesy of Platinum Guild International. The retail store that refers the winning story will receive a deluxe espresso machine, courtesy of GE Capital.
