Traffic to U.S. Jewelry Sites +26%
December 23, 12As consumers headed to stores – both online and offline – to purchase gifts for the holiday, site visitors and foot traffic soared at certain locations. According to comScore's top 10 gaining sites, jewelry / luxury goods / accessories sites were the fourth largest gainers, following toys, consumer electronics and malls.
Jewelry / luxury goods / accessories sites had than 24.6 million unique visitors in November.
Online spending by Americans keeps breaking records. During the week of December 10-16, consumers spent more than $7 billion. This is the first time online consumer spending exceeded $7 billion.
As Christmas Eve nears, e-commerce spending in the first 46 days of the November–December 2012 holiday season surpasses $35 million, a 13 percent year-over-year increase.
