The IDEX Online Polished Price Report for August 22, 2013

(IDEX Online News) – This week's IDEX Online Price Report showed another week of declining prices for round polished diamonds continuing a trend of the past month or so, with sporadic rises seen in some items.

Meanwhile, fancy-shape diamonds were either unchanged or mostly rising in lower sizes, while mid-range goods were largely mixed.

Following are some of the changes in this week's IDEX Online Diamond Price Report.

• 0.18-0.22 cts Almost unchanged
• 0.23-0.29 cts E / IF +3.7% to $2,800 p/c
• 0.30-0.39 cts K / IF +3.1% to $1,650 p/c
• 0.40-0.44 cts D / I1 +3.3% to $1,550 p/c
• 0.45-0.49 cts many declines
• 0.50-0.69 cts M-N / VVS1 declines of more than 2.3%
• 0.70-0.79 cts decreases in lower color, better clarity items
• 0.80-0.89 cts D-F / I2 falling by more than 2%
• 0.90-0.99 cts N / SI3 -5.9% to $160 p/c
• 1.00-1.24 cts N / SI1-SI2 declines of around 4%
• 1.25-1.49 cts many decreases
• 2 cts declines in lower colors, higher clarities
• 3 cts F / VVS1 -3.0% to $4,920 p/c
• 4 cts H / SI3-I2 declining
• 5 cts many decreases
