Israel Diamond Week at DDC Comes to End

(IDEX Online News) – The second edition of the Israel Diamond Week at the Diamond Dealers Club (DDC) of New York ended on Thursday, with the presidents of both exchanges expressing their delight at the turnout for the fair.

Following the first event in November 2012 where 50 Israeli diamond firms exhibited, this week’s show featured more than 120 Israeli companies, while 30 more were on a waiting list to exhibit.

In addition, more than 600 members of the DDC and other firms from across the globe took part.

DDC President Reuven Kaufman and Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) President Shmuel Schnitzer both said they had received highly positive feedback from members of their bourses, both buyers and exhibitors.

DDC Managing Director Marty Hochbaum said the event had comfortably exceeded expectations. “We were extremely busy from the first morning onwards. We knew before the event started that there was great interest from both the Israeli and the American sides, but the numbers of firms and individuals taking part was enormous.”
