Tenth Jaipur Jewelry Show Concludes

(IDEX Online News) – The recently concluded Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) had more than 30,000 visitors, including retailers, gemstone dealers, manufacturers, exporters and consumers and was dubbed an “outstanding success” by the organizers.
Some 456 companies exhibited at the show and organizers say there were another 56 on the waiting list. Participants came from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Surat, Punjab, Chandigarh, Agra, Indore, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
Vipul Shah, chairman of the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), said at the opening of the show that Jaipur is the world’s largest source of colored gemstones and jewelry for both domestic or export consumption and it has emerged as the leading supplier of colored and polished emeralds and tanzanite.
JJS 2014 will be held from December 20-23 under the theme “Ruby: the Gem of Gems.”
