Rare Jewels On The Block At Sotheby’s Geneva Auction In November
September 28, 14The 16 treasures will be sold at Sotheby’s Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels sale on November 12. It is estimated they will generate $20 million.

It is a testament to Dimitri Mavrommatis’ discerning eye and impeccable taste, and presents a rare opportunity to acquire gems and jewels of exceptional quality.’’
Leading the unique jewelry collection is the Graff Ruby, weighing 8.62 carats. The cushion-shaped Burmese stone has the ‘pigeon’s blood’ rare vivid red hue, according to a report from the Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF), with outstanding purity and superb brilliance. The piece carries an estimate of $6,800,000 – $9,000,000.
Among the other standout pieces is a rare and exceptional sapphire, weighing 27.54 carats, with a pre-sale estimate of $3,000,000 – $6,000,000. The stone, which is certified of Kashmir origin, has a saturated velvety blue color, combined with a very high purity.
The collection also features three jewels by famous jeweler JAR.
