Leo Schachter Diamonds Tops Israeli Polished Exporter List

(IDEX Online News) – The Diamond Administration of the Economy Ministry has published its list of the top 20 Israeli diamond exporters for 2014. Leading the list once again was Leo Schachter Diamonds.
Despite topping the list, the company’s exports declined from $327.7 million in 2013 to $287.7 last year. In 2013, Leo Schachter’s exports increased 3.5 percent.
M.I.D. House of Diamonds, which was the second-largest company in 2014, also saw its export levels decline from $247 million in 2013 to $242.5 million in 2014.
Altogether, six of the 20 companies on the list saw their export levels decline. The biggest drop was Kuperman Brothers Diamonds Ltd, which saw its exports fall from $63.5 million in 2013 to $36.7 million in 2014.
The biggest increase was D.M.G. International Ltd, which saw its export levels rise from $13.3 million in 2013 to $30.4 million in 2014.
The list does not include firms that do not wish to their figures to be public.
