(IDEX Online News) – Price changes continued to be mixed this week, with prices both rising and falling.

 

Round diamonds saw positive changes in the smaller sizes up to a carat. Fancy cuts were more mixed with 5-carat diamonds, for example, seeing both price rises and falls with other categories rising as much as 5.5 percent.

 

Following are some of the main changes in this week's IDEX Online Diamond Price Report.

·         0.18-0.22 cts F/ SI1 up 4%

 

·         0.23-0.29 cts L-M / VVS2+ down 4%-5%

 

·         0.30-0.39 cts changes including D-E / SI1-SI2 down 2%-2.5% and H / I1 up 4%

 

·         0.40-0.44 cts price drops of 2%-3% in the better colors and qualities, I-K / SI1-I1 up 3%-5.5%  

 

·         0.45-0.49 cts F-J / VVS1-SI2 down 2%-3%, E / IF up 2.5%

 

·         0.50-0.69 cts isolated changes including E / VS2 down 3% and J / IF, SI2 and I1 up 2%-3.5%

 

·         0.70-0.79 cts D-G / VS1-SI1 down 2.5%-3% and K / SI2 up 3%

 

·         0.80-0.89 cts a number of changes including H-J / VS1-SI2 down 2.5%-3%

 

·         0.90-0.99 cts G / IF down 3% and H / I1 up 3%

 

·         1.00-1.24 cts a number of changes including D-H / VS2-SI2 down 2%-4%

 

·         1.25-1.49 cts many negative changes including E-G / VS2 down 3%-3.5%

 

·         1.50-1.99 cts many changes including F-H / VS1+ down 1%-3% and D-G / SI2-I2 down 2%-4%

 

·         2 cts I-K / IF-VVS1 and I-K / SI1-SI2 down 2%-3%

 

·         3 cts a number of changes including G-I / VVS1-SI2 down 1%-3%

 

·         4 cts a range of changes including K / VVS1-SI1 down 2%-3%

 

·         5 cts a number of changes including J-N / VS2-SI2 down 2%-3%
