(IDEX Online News) – There were some positive changes in both round and fancy diamonds, with the IDEX Online Diamond Index trending upwards after a number of weeks of downward movement.

 

Round diamonds below 1 carat saw improvements of up to 4 percent. Trade was more positive for the larger sizes of fancy cuts, which saw increases of up to 4 percent for goods above 1 carat.

·         0.18-0.22 cts E/ VS1 up 3%

 

·         0.23-0.29 cts no change

 

·         0.30-0.39 cts I / VS2 and J / SI1 up 3%

 

·         0.40-0.44 cts I and K / SI1 up 3%

 

·         0.45-0.49 cts D-E / IF-VVS1 up around 3%, F / SI2 down 2%

 

·         0.50-0.69 cts I-L / SI2-I1 up 2%-4%

 

·         0.70-0.79 cts K / VVS2 up 2% and H-I / I1-I3 down 2%-5%

 

·         0.80-0.89 cts F / I1-I2 down 2%-3.5%, J / SI2-SI3 down 4%

 

·         0.90-0.99 cts no change

 

·         1.00-1.24 cts no change

 

·         1.25-1.49 cts K / VVS2 down 2%

 

·         1.50-1.99 cts K / VVS2 down 3.5%

 

·         2 cts E and M / IF and M / SI2 down 2%-3%, N / VS1 up 4%

 

·         3 cts D / SI2 down 0.5%, G / VVS1 down 3%

 

·         4 cts changes including H-N / IF-VVS1 down 2%-3%, F-H / SI1-SI3 down 3%

 

·         5 cts a number of changes including LMN / SI1 down 2.5%-3.5%, G+ / SI2-I3 down 0.5%-4.5%

·         0.18-0.22 cts D / VVS1-VVS2 down 3%

 

·         0.23-0.29 cts no change

 

·         0.30-0.39 cts a number of changes including D-E / IF up 3%, F / I1 and I / SI2 up 5%, D / VVS2 and F / IF down 2%

 

·         0.40-0.44 cts no change

 

·         0.45-0.49 cts no change

 

·         0.50-0.69 cts no change

 

·         0.70-0.79 cts D / SI2 up 3%

 

·         0.80-0.89 cts no change

 

·         0.90-0.99 cts G / IF up 3.5%
