HRD Antwerp Appoints New CEO and Announces Other Management Changes

(IDEX Online News) – HRD Antwerp has announced the appointment of Peter Macken as its new CEO. From June 1, Macken, who is currently CEO of technology group Irmaco nv, will combine his role at HRD on a part-time basis with his current positions. He will take enter the job on a full time basis from the end of August.

Macken has more than 30 years of management experience. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Leuven.

In a bid to strengthen its presence in South East Asia, HRD also announced the appointment of Yichun Wang (Wayne Wang) as managing director for its operations in greater China. In addition to developing growth plans for the region, Wang will also responsible be for reviewing current business processes and staffing.

He previously held key positions with brands including Zbird Diamond and Jewelry, AA Rachmaninov Diamonds and Diamdel Hong Kong Ltd.

In India, the company has appointed Ravi Chhabria as managing director. Chhabria previously served as chief commercial officer and Antwerp. He began his post on March 1.  

Prior to joining HRD Antwerp, Chhabria held various positions within the financial sector at HDFC Bank India, KBC Bank India and the Antwerp Diamond Bank India.
