(IDEX Online News) – This week’s price changes were predominantly positive, with the exception of rounds sized between 0.23-0.29 carats, which saw prices drop in the 2-3% range.

 

There were more changes in the fancy goods, especially those sized between 0.3-0.7 carats and in the better clarities.  

 

Following are some of the main changes in this week's IDEX Online Diamond Price Report.

·         0.18-0.22 cts E-F / SI1 up 4%

 

·         0.23-0.29 cts a few negative changes including I-J / IF down 2-3%

 

·         0.30-0.39 cts positive changes including L / VVS2 and SI1 up 3-4%

 

·         0.40-0.44 cts K-L / IF up 2.5-3%

 

·         0.45-0.49 cts J / I1 up 4% and L / SI1 up 3%

 

·         0.50-0.69 cts L / VS2-SI1 up 3%

 

·         0.70-0.79 cts L / VVS1-VS2 up 2%

 

·         0.80-0.89 cts changes, mostly in the lower colors, including K-L / VS2-SI1 up 2%

 

·         0.90-0.99 cts D-E / SI1-2 up 2-3.5%

 

·         1.00-1.24 F-M / SI2 up 2-4%

 

·         1.25-1.49 cts L-N / SI3 up 3-4% and J-K / I1 up 3%

 

·         1.50-1.99 cts changes including E and H / IF up 3% and L / SI2-3 up 2-3%

 

·         2 cts some changes including K-M / SI1 up 3-4% and H and J / SI3 down 2-3%

 

·         3 cts M / VVS1 and N / I1 up 2-3%

 

·         4 cts a few isolated changes including E / IF up 2%

 

·         5 cts D-E / VVS2 up 3%

 

Fancy Cuts

·         0.18-0.22 cts D-E / VS1-2 up 4%

 

·         0.23-0.29 cts no change

 

·         0.30-0.39 cts changes in better colors and qualities including G / VS1+ up 3%

 

·         0.40-0.44 cts many changes including E-J / VVS1+ up 2-4%

 

·         0.45-0.49 cts plenty of changes including D / SI1-I1 up 2-3%

 

·         0.50-0.69 cts changes including G / IF and VS2-SI2 up 2-3%

 

·         0.70-0.79 cts G / VVS2 and SI2 up 3-3.5%

 

·         0.80-0.89 cts a very few changes including J / VS2 up 2%

 

·         0.90-0.99 cts J / IF down 3%

 

·         1.00-1.24 cts changes including D-F / VVS2 up 2.5-3% and G-J / IF up 1-5%
