IDEX Online Polished Price Changes – July 23, 2015

(IDEX Online News) – This week, round goods experienced quite a number of negative price changes, especially goods sized below 0.8 carats. Larger goods saw many fewer changes, with isolated categories experiencing price increases of generally around 2-3 percent.

There were fewer changes in fancy-cut goods, especially in the smaller sizes. Those isolated changes that took place were almost all positive. Goods above 4 carats saw the most changes, with price drops averaging 2-4 percent.

• 0.18-0.22 cts G-H / VVS2+ down 3% and E and G-I / SI1 down 3-5%
  
• 0.23-0.29 cts E-F / IF down 2% and I / IF and VVS2 and J / VVS1 down 3%
  
• 0.30-0.39 cts D-J / I1 down 3-5% and F / IF down 3%
  
• 0.40-0.44 cts D-G / SI3 up 3%, I / VVS1-2 down 2% and L-M / SI1 down 3-4%
  
• 0.45-0.49 cts changes in the lower clarities and better colors, up 3-5.5%
  
• 0.50-0.69 cts negative changes including E-G / VS2 down 3-3.5%
  
• 0.70-0.79 cts G / SI1 up 2.5% and L / VVS1+ down 2%
  
• 0.80-0.89 cts F-H / I1-I3 down 2-4%
  
• 0.90-0.99 cts J / VVS1-VS1 up 2%
  
• 1.00-1.24 cts F / VVS2 up 1%
  
• 1.25-1.49 cts F / IF up 3% and I-J and N / I1 up 2.5-6%
  
• 1.50-1.99 cts D / SI2 and H / VVS2 up 3%
  
• 2 cts a few changes including J / VS2 and I1 up 2-3% and N / SI2 up 2%
  
• 3 cts no change
  
• 4 cts K / VVS2 up 3%
  
• 5 cts E / IF and G / VVS1 down 1% and J-K / VVS2 up 2.5-3%
