(IDEX Online News) – Prices of round diamonds were almost wholly on the decline. There was a lot of negative movement in stones between 0.3 and 0.7 carats. Only those sized above 5 carats saw any real positive changes.

 

As has generally been the case, when it came to fancies, the picture was more positive with price declines evident in only a few limited categories.

·        0.23-0.29 cts negative changes including K-L / VVS1+ down 3-4%

 

·        0.30-0.39 cts a number of negative changes including D-E / VVS2+ down 2-3.5%

·        0.45-0.49 cts price drops including E-J / VVS2 down 1.5-3.5%

·        0.80-0.89 cts changes including F / VS2 and M / VS1 down 2%

·        1.25-1.49 cts J and M / SI3 down 2-3%

·        5 cts positive changes including H / VVS2-VS1 up 0.5-3%
