New Sarine Meteor System Maps Inclusions in Smaller Stone

(IDEX Online News) – Diamond technology toolmaker Sarine Technologies Ltd has released its new Meteor™ system for inclusion mapping of smaller stones. Based on Sarine's Galaxy™ solution, the Meteor™ provides inclusion mapping for rough diamonds sized between 0.25-0.85 carats.
During a beta phase, the system scanned more than 220 stones a day, which Sarine said substantially accelerates the scanning throughput for manufacturers, further reducing the cost of ownership and use of the system.
“The release of the Meteor™ system to the market is an important step in making Sarine's advanced inclusion mapping technology accessible to a significantly wider range of stone sizes,” said Sarine CEO Uzi Levami.
“The proven Galaxy™ technology is now implemented in a system specifically targeted at the smaller stone segment, enabling a fast, efficient inclusion mapping solution for manufacturers of smaller goods.”
