Brussels Terrorism Threat Increased
November 22, 15 (IDEX Online News) – The Belgian National Security Council today (Sunday), raised the terrorism threat for Brussels to four out of four, up from three. The upgrade is based on the Coordination Unit for Threat Analysis’s assessment. The increase comes in response to the suspected involvement of Belgian nationals in last weekend’s attacks in Paris. Non-essential travel to Brussels and avoiding mass crowd gatherings (markets, sporting events, shopping centers etc.) is advised. The terrorism threat for the rest of Belgium and Antwerp (including the diamond district) remains at level three.
