ALROSA Revenue Increases 17% to $2.65 Billion

(IDEX Online News) – ALROSA’s revenue for the first nine months of fiscal 2015 increased by 17 percent to RUB172.5 billion ($2.65 billion), despite a 20-percent decline in year-on-year sales volume.

Net income rose to RUB32.2 billion ($491 million), but the company’s third quarter revenue slumped 29 percent.

The company said that third quarter losses were driven by the weakening of the Russian ruble against the strong dollar.
