DiamTech Exhibition to Take Place at IDWI

(IDEX Online News) – New diamond technologies will be showcased at the DiamTech exhibition – in the presence of Nobel Prize winning chemist Prof Dan Shechtman – at the upcoming International Diamond Week in Israel.
At the exhibition, technology companies and high-tech service providers will display the latest innovations in diamond manufacturing, diamond imaging and marketing technologies.
The Israel Diamond Exchange’s (IDE) technology center will be made available free-of-charge for use by IDWI buyers and exhibitors for the duration of the event. Expert gemologists and technicians will be on-hand to help participants use the latest equipment to check color, clarity, symmetry and cut. There will also be a melee service to determine if stones are natural or lab-grown.
IDE president Yoram Dvash said that Israeli companies had been at the forefront of the use of technology in the industry, and would continue to fulfil that role in the future.
The Israel Diamond Week in Israel will take place from February 14-18.
