WJH to Hold 2nd Latin American Diamond and Jewelry Week
April 11, 16(IDEX Online News) – Buyers and suppliers of diamonds, jewelry and colored gemstones will have the opportunity to gather at the Second Latin American Diamond and Jewelry Week, organized by the World Jewelry Hub (WJH).
The event is designed to bring together players from the regional and global trades, while highlighting the role of Panama in the jewelry and gemstone industry. The event will feature social and educational programs that look at challenges and opportunities facing the business.
There will be several highlights of the Latin American Diamond and Jewelry Week, including the first major diamond and gemstone auction to be held in Latin America, and also the first meeting of Latin American Women in the Jewelry Industry, which will highlight the increasingly important role of women in the development of the region’s jewelry business. It forms part of a new project designed as part of a larger program to promote a more ethical, transparent and socially responsible jewelry business.
Since its establishment as the only dedicated gemstone and jewelry trading center in Latin America, and home to the region’s only diamond exchange, the WJH registered $140 million of turnover in its first 10 months of operation.
