KP Issues Fake Sierra Leone Certificate Warning

(IDEX Online News) – For the second time in a week, warnings have been broadcast about the production of a fake Kimberley Process (KP) certificate, allegedly originating from Sierra Leone.

The KP announced that its UAE office was contacted by a concerned client prior to the import of a shipment, to check the authenticity of a scanned copy of a KP certificate from Sierra Leone.

The UAE KP Office contacted the Sierra Leone authorities, which verified that the copy was indeed a false certificate.
