Serious Buyers Among Crowds at IIJS Signature, MumbaiFebruary 24, 20
(IDEX Online) - Over 15,000 visitors attended the IIJS Signature and the India Gem & Jewellery Machinery Expo, in Mumbai.
There were many "serious buyers" despite the challenges of coronavirus and the global slowdown, said Colin Shah, vice chairman of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) which organised the events, from 13 to 16 February.
They attracted more than 700 exhibitors across 1,300 booths, spanning an area of over 45,000 square meters at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon.
There was a new Startup Zone featuring the work of nine women entrepreneurs and nine budding jewelry designers, and a Crafts Pavilion showcasing temple, bidri and filigree - traditional Indian jewelry crafts.
