The IDEX Online Polished Price Report for March 6, 2014

(IDEX Online News) – This week saw a decline in activity in round diamonds overall, with most trading being in smaller items and a slight tendency to increases, according to the IDEX Online Price Report.

In fancy shape diamonds, there was a wider spread of activity than in round stones, with the majority of moves in a downward direction, while the largest categories saw few changes.

• 0.18-0.22 cts D / IF -3.5% to $2,800 p/c
• 0.23-0.29 cts E / SI1 -3.1% to $1,550 p/c
• 0.30-0.39 cts I / VVS2-SI3 rises of 2-4%
• 0.40-0.44 cts F / SI3-I2 increases of 3-5%
• 0.45-0.49 cts a wide range of increases
• 0.50-0.69 cts I / SI2 +2.3% to $2,250 p/c
• 0.70-0.79 cts several declines
• 0.80-0.89 cts mostly declining
• 0.90-0.99 cts M / IF-VVS1 falls of 3%
• 1.00-1.24 cts just one change, downwards
• 1.25-1.49 cts no changes
• 2 cts E / I2-I3 rises of 3-5%
• 3 cts unchanged
• 4 cts F / SI1 +3.2% to $26,000 p/c
• 5 cts D / VS1-SI1 declines of up to 2%

• 0.70-0.79 cts J / IF -3.6% to $2,650 p/c
• 0.80-0.89 cts widespread declines
• 0.90-0.99 cts E / VVS1 -2.8% to $700 p/c
