The IDEX Online Polished Price Report for July 31, 2014

(IDEX Online News) – There was significant activity in prices of very small round diamonds and also in those in the 1-2 carat range with relatively few rises, according to the weekly IDEX Online Price Report.

In fancy shape diamonds, there was also considerable activity in a broad range of items, with the majority being negative.

The following are some of the changes in this week's IDEX Online Diamond Price Report.

• 0.18-0.22 cts D-I / SI2 dropping by 3-5%
• 0.23-0.29 cts I-K / VVS1 declining by 3-4%
• 0.30-0.39 cts just one change, upwards
• 0.40-0.44 cts unchanged
• 0.45-0.49 cts no changes
• 0.50-0.69 cts D / IF +3.3% to $7,800 p/c
• 0.70-0.79 cts L-N / SI1 declining by 3%
• 0.80-0.89 cts K / VVS1-VVS2 declining by 3-4%
• 0.90-0.99 cts no changes
• 1.00-1.24 cts many declines in better colors and clarities
• 1.25-1.49 cts three changes, all decliners
• 2 cts unchanged
• 3 cts L-M / SI1 rises of 2-3%
• 4 cts unchanged
• 5 cts J / VS2 +2.4% to $21,700 p/c

• 0.18-0.22 cts E / VVS2-VS2 rising by 3-4%
• 0.23-0.29 cts F-H / SI1 up 4-5%
• 0.30-0.39 cts many declines in better colors and clarities
• 0.40-0.44 cts unchanged
• 0.45-0.49 cts no changes
• 0.50-0.69 cts some rises in lower colors, higher clarities
• 0.70-0.79 cts just two changes, both decliners
• 0.80-0.89 cts mostly declining
• 0.90-0.99 cts F-J / I1 declining by 3-4%
• 1.00-1.24 cts a range of declines
• 1.50-1.99 cts two changes, both downwards
• 2 cts three decliners
• 3 cts a wide range of activity, both risers and decliners
• 4 cts K-N / VS2-SI1 declines of 2-3%
• 5 cts two changes, one up and one down
