IDL Releases Certification Fee Structure

October 09, 07 by IDEX Online Staff Reporter

Dubai-based International Diamond Laboratories (IDL) released their diamond certification service fee structure, which includes a volume discount of up to 25 percent when 100+ stones are registered.

The lab’s Diamond Certificate, which provides detailed information on the 4C’s of the diamond, runs for $50 for diamonds up to 46 points to $100 for a 1.99 carat stone. The IDL Compact Diamond Certificate is offered for diamonds starting from 15 points to 4.99 carats, and prices range from $35 for stones up to 46 points to $75 for a 1.99 carat diamond.

The IDL Color Certificate, which confirms the stone’s natural origin and untreated status, is priced at $12 for diamonds up to 46 points and $20 for stones just under a carat.

The downstream-oriented services of the lab include IDL Sealing, a tamper-proof container for $10 ($20 for resealing) and a laser inscription priced at $10 for below one carat and $20 for above one carat. The inscription may include the IDL logo and certificate number or a personal logo/message.

Certificates can also be re-issued in another language for $10. Currently IDL certificates are available in English and Arabic.
