Stuller Introduces Platinum-Look Sterling Silver
August 30, 12(IDEX Online News) – Lafayette, Louisiana-based DTC Sightholder Stuller has introduced another new metal onto the market: a silver alloy, Continuum Sterling Silver. The company says the metal is anti-tarnish, bright white, cost effective and harder than any other on the market.
The metal, which has the look of platinum, contains more than 95 percent precious metal content and is strong enough to hold both large stones and melee.
“The fact that Continuum casts 35 percent harder than regular sterling is what makes this metal truly unique,” says Darrell Warren, VP Merchandising. “It is comparable to the ‘as-cast’ feel of 14 karat gold, establishing a new standard for sterling silver gem-setting.”
“This makes manufacturing intricate and light designs possible with exceptional durability,” continues Warren. “Tests have shown that even after soldering Continuum retains temper very well.”
