JCK Closes Strong for Jewelers, Resistance to Polished Prices
June 10, 04
Good attendance at the JCK Show in Las Vegas this week with substantial traffic at the international pavilion, especially the Hong Kong area, led to great optimism in the market.
Rising prices of polished diamonds were met with resistance by buyers that inevitably found them selves paying the higher prices.
Larger stones of one-and-a-half carats and up in white SI+ are still in extra strong demand. Pink and fancy yellow stones are fashionable in every size and shape.
Close outs were hot as usual at the annual show. Chandelier earrings and pave settings were the surprising trendy items.
