Sarin Launches Advanced Polished Diamond Measurement System

An advanced high-precision system offering 3D modeling for the measurement of polished and semi-polished diamonds was unveiled Thursday by Sarin Technologies, an Israeli company that develops and manufactures equipment and software for the diamond industry.
Called DiaMension HD, the system uses a high-resolution digital camera with interchangeable optical lenses to produce the 3D models. This will be helpful to diamond cutters, wholesalers and gemologists who need to evaluate not only a diamond's proportions, but the stone's symmetry as well.
