(IDEX Online News) – Round diamond prices continue to drop, especially in the better colors and smaller sizes – below 0.7 carats. There was little movement either positive or negative for goods sized above 1 carat, with just a few isolated changes taking place.

 

The situation was much more positive and stable when it came to prices of fancy cut diamonds this week. There were a few isolated price drops, with the majority of declines being seen in stones above 5 carats, especially in the lower clarities.

·         0.23-0.29 cts changes including E-F / IF down 2-3% and G-H / VVS2 down 2%

 

·         0.30-0.39 cts changes including E-F / VVS2+ down 2-4% and D-E / I1 down 3%

 

·         0.40-0.44 cts changes including E / VVS2+ down 2-3% and E / SI1-2 up 2%

 

·         0.45-0.49 cts changes including H-I / VS1-2 down 2% and I+ / SI3 up 2-3%

 

·         0.50-0.69 cts negative changes including E / VVS2-SI1 down 2-3%

 

·         0.70-0.79 cts E-F / I2 down 2% and G / SI1 up 2.5%

 

·         0.80-0.89 cts E-F / I2 down 2% and L / IF up 4%

 

·         0.90-0.99 cts H / IF and J / VVS1-VS1 up 2-2.5%

 

·         1.00-1.24 cts changes including F / VVS1 down 1% and F and H / I1 up 2%

 

·         1.25-1.49 cts I-K and N / I1 up 2.5-5.5%

 

·         1.50-1.99 cts F / IF and VVS2 up 3%

 

·         2 cts a few changes including D / VVS1 up 3% and N / SI2-3 up 3%

 

·         3 cts no change

 

·         4 cts no change

 

·         5 cts D / VVS1 and VS2 down 1% and J-K / VVS1-2 up 1-3%

·         0.30-0.39 cts some positive changes including D / VS1-SI1 up 2-3%

 

·         0.40-0.44 cts D / SI1-2 up 2-3% and E / VS2-SI1 up 2%

 

·         0.45-0.49 cts D / VVS2 up 3% and D-E / SI1-2 up 2-4%

 

·         0.50-0.69 cts some changes including I / VS1+ up 3-4%

 

·         0.70-0.79 cts G / SI1 up 1% and I / VVS1+ up 2%

 

·         0.80-0.89 cts I-N / IF up 2-3%
