IDEX Online Polished Price Changes – August 13, 2015

(IDEX Online News) – Round diamonds below 0.44 carats saw the most movement, all negative, especially in the better colors and clarities. Larger goods had much less movement, with the exception of 5-carat stones and larger, which saw positive changes in the medium clarities and better colors.

Prices of fancy-cut diamonds also changed more than in previous weeks. The changes were overwhelmingly positive, especially in the medium and better clarities.  

Following are some of the main changes in this week's IDEX Online Diamond Price Report.

• 0.18-0.22 cts a few downward changes including I / VVS1+ down 3%
  
• 0.23-0.29 cts D-H / VVS2+ down 2-3%  
  
• 0.30-0.39 cts a few changes including  D / VVS1 and VS2 down 3-3.5%  
  
• 0.40-0.44 cts negative changes including D / VVS2-VS1 and E / VVS1 down 3%
  
• 0.45-0.49 cts D / SI3-I2 up 2-3%
  
• 0.50-0.69 cts a few changes including G / VS1 down 2% and I / VS2 down 3%
  
• 0.70-0.79 cts K-L / I1-2 up 4-6%
  
• 0.80-0.89 cts K-M / I1-I2 up 3-6%
  
• 0.90-0.99 cts F/ VVS2 up 2% and G-H / I1 down 3%    
  
• 1.00-1.24 cts D / VS2 up 3%
  
• 1.25-1.49 cts I-K and N / I1 down 2-5%  
  
• 1.50-1.99 cts no change
  
• 2 cts a few changes including H / VVS1 and J / VS1 up 2-3% 
  
• 3 cts no change
  
• 4 cts no change
  
• 5 cts E-H / VS2-SI1 up 1-3%
