JFC to Donate $100,000 in Local Grants Program

(IDEX Online News) – Jewelers for Children (JFC) is to give away $100,000 as part of its Local Grants program. The recipient organizations are chosen by independent jewelers who nominate a local organization to receive one of 10 $10,000 donations.

As well as choosing the deserving organizations, the jewelers and the nominated charities must generate interest their organization by securing votes through their own social media outlets, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, email blasts and any other advertising opportunities available, as well as motivate people to vote for the charity through a Facebook-based campaign on JFC's page.

The nomination period runs from September 7 until September 25.  The voting process will begin on October 5 and conclude on October 18. The top 10 organizations with the most votes will be announced on October 19 with the grants made before the end of the year.

The 10 jewelers who nominate the winning charities will present the grant from JFC directly to the charity on behalf of the jewelry industry.
