DRC Techno Creates Lab-Grown Diamond Detector
September 07, 15(IDEX Online News) – Dharmanandan Research Centre (DRC) has created a device to identify lab-grown diamonds. Called the D-Secure, the instrument recognizes all shapes of lab-grown diamonds in sizes ranging from 0.003 carats to 10 carats.
The D-Secure can recognize both rough and polished stones, and can test and verify pre-mounted jewelry.
“After deep research and hard work of several years, the technical team at DRC developed this device to counter rising problem of adulteration by man-made diamonds in business,” said DRC director Vipul Sutariya.
“The purpose of this development is to uphold consumer confidence and keep natural diamond business safe from dumping of artificial diamonds and finding those undisclosed synthetic diamonds in cost effective manner.”
