GJEPC to Launch Campaign to Promote Diamonds in Key Export Markets
November 16, 15(IDEX Online News) – The Gem and Jewellery Promotion Council (GJEPC) has announced a plan to launch a marketing campaign to promote diamond sales in key export markets.
According to the Economic Times, the organization is considering joining with the main mining companies to launch the campaign in overseas markets including China, Latin America and the Middle East.
"We have taken the decision to launch a promotional campaign for diamonds in key markets to revive exports," said GJEPC chair Praveen Shankar Pandya, as quoted by the Economic Times. "Miners, who are the major stakeholders in the industry, will have to be included in this initiative.”
Part of the plan, which Pandya said will hopefully be finalized within the next month, is to appoint country-specific advertising agencies to create targeted ad campaigns.
