Yoram Dvash Elected as New IDE President
December 17, 15(IDEX Online News) – Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) treasurer Yoram Dvash has been elected to the role of president of the exchange. He ran against Arnon Yuval, who currently holds the post of deputy president of the IDE.
Dvash takes over from Shmuel Schnitzer who held the position of president for the past two years, and also served as bourse president for three consecutive terms from 1998-2005.
A first generation diamantaire, Dvash’s manufacturing company, Y. Dvash, specializes in of larger stones, square-shaped and rounds, in sizes up to 5 carats. The company manufactures all of its diamonds in Israel and has five satellite branches around the world. Dvash Diamonds is currently among the top 20 diamond exporting firms in Israel.
In his role as IDE Industry Committee chairman, Dvash has been instrumental in promoting manufacturing in Ramat Gan and making the Israeli center a strong manufacturing base once again.
The IDE also held elections for 16 new members of the directorate.
