More Than 100 Israeli Companies to Exhibit at Hong Kong Show

(IDEX Online News) – The Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI) will host 93 companies at its Israel Diamond Pavilion at next month’s Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show. An additional 10 Israeli companies will exhibit in locations elsewhere at the show.
The IDI pavilion will host three “Find Your Diamond” terminals, which allows buyers to search a computerized database of all the items offered by Israeli exhibitors at the show. The search will be available in English and Cantonese, with buyers also able to download a smartphone app.
With almost 30 percent of total polished diamond exports, Hong Kong is Israel’s second largest market for polished diamonds, and many of the exhibitors are expected to display specially designed pieces of diamond jewelry in honor of the show.
“Hong Kong is a very important market for us since it is the gateway to Asia. Despite the current slowdown in China, we believe in the future of this market and we’re there to show our support,” said IDI chairman Shmuel Schnitzer.
He added that IDI would participate in four Hong Kong trade shows in 2016 – in March, June, September and November.
