Pangolin Recovers 11th Diamond From Malatswae
March 22, 16(IDEX Online News) – Pangolin Diamonds Corp has reported the recovery of the 11th diamond from its 100-percent owned Malatswae Diamond Project in Botswana, but the first from the MTS Grid.
The light brown diamond is approximately 1mm x 0.7mm x 0.7mm in dimension and derives from a larger diamond that was resorbed to a tetrahexahedroid shape. There are two breakage surfaces and there is evidence that the diamond broke after interaction with the kimberlite magma.
Pagnolin said that 470 soil samples have been collected from the MTS Grid, 163 of which have been processed to date. Kimberlitic garnets have visually been identified in 76 of these soil samples.
