WDC/IDMA Extend Condolences to Belgium Attack Victims
March 24, 16(IDEX Online News) – The World Diamond Council (WDC) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association have extended their condolences to the victims of the recent bombing attack at Brussels’ Zaventem Airport.
“We are devastated by these horrific acts of terrorism,” said president of the World Diamond Council Edward Asscher.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with all the victims and their relatives. On behalf of our global membership, we send our sincere condolences to our partners from the Belgian diamond business and our friends at the European Union Headquarters with whom we closely work on the Kimberley process, and to all who are impacted by these awful events.”
“This affects all of us,” said an IDMA statement. “Anyone working in the international diamond industry and trade has passed countless times through Zaventem and Brussels.”
