Fiera Di Vicenza Makes Changes to 2017 VicenzaOro Shows
October 23, 16(IDEX Online) – Fiera Di Vicenza, the organizers of the VicenzaOro shows, has made strategic changes to its 2017 calendar of jewelry trade fairs, with the first event of next year to take place from January 20 to 25 with an expanded show.
Meanwhile, the fall fair is scheduled for September 23 to 27, and will coincide with the Milan Fashion Week. "Dynamic growth in European and international jewelry trade means increased business activity at the end of the tourist season, compelling the Fiera di Vicenza to reschedule the show at a time that benefits exhibitors and attendees alike," Fiera Di Vicenza said in a statement.
"This decision is also in harmony with the Ministry of Economic Development’s endorsement to align with the Italian Fashion System’s strategy of holding all associated trade shows in September, during the same period as Milan Fashion Week for women. Consequently, Italy will be the international hub of fashion and jewelry in September 2017, favoring a systematic approach that spotlights the best of Italian luxury, all in one place."
VicenzaOro is also in the planning stages of adding a third Italian trade fair to its jewelry shows, anticipated to be held in the late spring.
VicenzaOro Dubai will take place from November 15 to 18 and will feature a revamped format, "reinforcing the show’s role as a strategic springboard for the international jewelry community. The show will double its target markets, opening to the public whilst providing a new and exclusive space for trade professionals, thus preserving the B2B spirit that has always set the VicenzaOro jewelry shows apart".
In its last three jewelry shows, VicenzaOro January, September and Dubai have hosted over 55,000 trade professionals, with 57% hailing from 131 foreign countries, and nearly 3,000 exhibitors representing all the Italian production regions and major international players from more than 30 countries, the statement added.
