The IDEX Online Polished Price Report for August 14, 2014

(IDEX Online News) – Far more changes in prices across a range of categories of round diamonds that was heavily negative, according to the weekly IDEX Online Price Report.

There was less activity in fancy shape diamonds than has been seen in recent weeks, with a bias to the positive.

The following are some of the changes in this week's IDEX Online Diamond Price Report.

• 0.18-0.22 cts many declines in better colors and clarities
• 0.23-0.29 cts F / VS2 +2.8% to $1,850 p/c
• 0.30-0.39 cts unchanged
• 0.40-0.44 cts just one change, downwards
• 0.45-0.49 cts several declines in lower colors and clarities
• 0.50-0.69 cts no changes
• 0.70-0.79 cts N / VVS1-VS2 declines of 2-3%
• 0.80-0.89 cts N / VVS1-SI1 falls of 2-3%
• 0.90-0.99 cts M / IF-VS1 falls of 3-4%
• 1.00-1.24 cts many falls in better colors and clarities
• 1.25-1.49 cts several declines
• 2 cts several falls
• 3 cts just three changes, two downwards and one riser
• 4 cts H / VVS2 +3.1% to $33,000 p/c
• 5 cts unchanged

Fancy Cuts

• 0.18-0.22 cts E / VS2 +3.9% to $1,350 p/c
• 0.23-0.29 cts F / SI1 +4.4% to $1,200 p/c
• 0.30-0.39 cts E / VS2 -2.8% to $1,750 p/c
• 0.40-0.44 cts several risers
• 0.45-0.49 cts I / SI2 +4.4% to $1,200 p/c
• 0.50-0.69 cts several decliners
• 0.70-0.79 cts J-K / SI2-I1 rises of 2-5%
• 0.80-0.89 cts a range of risers
• 0.90-0.99 cts H / VVS1 -2.2% to $4,500 p/c
• 1.00-1.24 cts several declines in better colors and clarities
• 1.50-1.99 cts just three changes, two downwards and one riser
• 2 cts E-F / I2 rises of 3%
• 3 cts two declines in high clarity, lower colors
• 4 cts several falls in mid-colors and clarity
