The IDEX Online Polished Price Report for August 21, 2014

(IDEX Online News) – This week again saw heavily negative changes in round diamonds, according to the weekly IDEX Online Price Report.

There was again a low level of activity in fancy shape diamonds this week, with a slight bias to the positive.

The following are some of the changes in this week's IDEX Online Diamond Price Report.

0.18-0.22 cts mostly rising in wide range of colors and clarities
0.23-0.29 cts F-G / SI2 rises of 4%
0.30-0.39 cts just two changes, downwards
0.40-0.44 cts D / SI1 -3.5% to $2,750 p/c
0.45-0.49 cts just two changes, both declines
0.50-0.69 cts no changes
0.70-0.79 cts N / VVS2-VS2 declines of 2%
0.80-0.89 cts N / VVS2-SI2 falls of 2-3%
0.90-0.99 cts N / VS1-SI1 declines of 5%
1.00-1.24 cts several declines in better colors and clarities
1.25-1.49 cts just two changes, both declines
2 cts unchanged
3 cts M-N / SI2-I1 falls of 2-4%
4 cts H / VS1 -2.9% to $30,100 p/c
5 cts I / VVS2 +2.9% to $32,300 p/c

0.23-0.29 cts K / IF -5.3% to $900 p/c
0.30-0.39 cts D / IF +3.1% to $3,350 p/c
0.40-0.44 cts unchanged
0.45-0.49 cts several changes, all upwards
0.50-0.69 cts just one change, a decliner
0.70-0.79 cts K / SI3-I1 rises of 4%
0.80-0.89 cts just two changes, both risers
0.90-0.99 cts H / I1 +3.6% to $2,900 p/c
1.00-1.24 cts just three changes, two up and one down
1.50-1.99 cts two declines in lower color, higher clarities
2 cts L / VVS2 -2.2% to $4,500 p/c
3 cts two declines and one increase in higher clarity, lower colors
